We're excited to welcome you to Cashtown Inn near Gettysburg, PA, where history is still unfolding. Beyond lodging at the inn itself, you'll also find our nearby short-term rental properties available below, each located less than a mile away — so whether you're drawn to the character of a historic inn room or the space of a private vacation home, there's a fit for your visit.
The inn features 7 unique guest rooms, each named for a Confederate general who once passed through, and each bookable individually — or, for larger gatherings, the entire inn can be reserved as a single buyout. A full hot breakfast is included daily with your room reservation.
For groups wanting more room to spread out, our rental properties offer a range of sizes. The General's Hideaway sleeps 5, ideal for a small family or group of friends. The Happy Hen and The Rested Rooster Maisonette occupy the top and bottom halves of the same historic farmhouse, sleeping 8 and 6 respectively — or book the whole building together as The Freckled Farmhouse, sleeping up to 14, perfect for reunions and multi-family trips.
Once home to the innkeepers of Cashtown Inn, The Officer's Reserve now offers guests a private, fully furnished retreat tucked quietly on the opposite side of the main parking lot. With its own entrance and dedicated parking area, this spacious apartment-style suite sleeps up to 6 and provides all the comforts of home within the historic setting of Cashtown Inn. Half of the suite is original to the 19th-century structure, while the other half is a tasteful addition, blending historic charm with modern comfort.
A few things to know before you book: pets are welcome at our rental houses, though not permitted at the inn itself, and smoking or vaping isn't allowed inside any of our buildings, inn or rental homes alike.
